Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of Indian cinema at the 15th Indian Film Festival of Ireland! This year’s festival promises an unforgettable experience with an impressive lineup of films, cultural showcases, and exclusive events that bring together filmmakers, actors, and cinephiles.

• • • Day 1 opens with a screening of the films Can I Be Ok and Kalikh, followed by a special reception where you’ll have the chance to meet esteemed guests, including the Indian Ambassador and the local Mayor. The evening will close with Mujib, a compelling biopic on Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, leaving you deeply moved.
    • On Day 2, the festival continues with inspiring screenings of Land of My Dreams, Paaraviyl, and Others, each offering powerful and evocative narratives. The day will culminate in a glamorous evening of celebrations, featuring an exclusive awards ceremony, breathtaking Bharatanatyam and Kathak performances, live music by Asif Raza, and a sumptuous 5-course Indian dinner. This evening also shines a spotlight on our charity partner, the Denzal Foundation, led by Shakeba Umar, with special awards presented by their esteemed guest Atul Tiwari.
    • Day 3 takes a deeper dive into storytelling with Aata Vel Zaali, a poignant film that delves into the existential challenges faced by an elderly couple, followed by Living on the Edge: Deglamourising Bollywood, a revealing documentary that exposes the harsh realities of the working conditions for the countless workers and technicians in the Indian film and television industry.
    • The festival wraps up on Day 4 with Yaan and Other Kohinoor, concluding with an exclusive Q&A session with the director of Other Kohinoor, moderated by the talented actor Ankur Vikal.
